Challenge: Find the Elves

Our oldest really loves those pictures in which you have to find the random objects carefully drawn into the design. So he thought he'd make one of his own. With his patented sense of humor.

Art Board

One of the things that happens when you move is that you sort through your stuff (surreptitiously on the part of your kids' stuff) to see what is going to go to the new house and what is going to the landfill. One of the tasks is also dismantling the inevitable "art board" you start when your kids keep bringing you projects from school. Here's the results of our cleaning:

Scarecrow. Crayon, paper, brads.

(I apologize for the awkward hand placement.)

Springtime. Crayon and paper cutouts.

Bigfoot's Footrpints. Crayon and paper cutouts.

Doughnut Scavenging Man. Pencil on paper.

What I Want to Be. Crayon and pencil on paper.

Once again, I do not know where he comes up with his ideas.

Uhhh Boy . . .

I know it's been a week since I updated this blog. But let the comic above illustrate why it's been so long. Also, we've sold our house and are in the process of moving. Good timing, since we can box up our clothes and such and kill the head lice that way.

This is My Neighborhood

The ironical value of this drawing will become more clear in the weeks to come.

January 1, 2012 Church Doodles

Once again, a grumpy kid at church, a bit of paper and a pencil helped to while away the time. This time, however, I got some help from my daughter. First, the collage:

Now some of the highlights.

I like the license plate in this one.

One from my daughter:

And a final one from me. Enjoy.
