Tootsie Formula

This Professor Frink-like character is starting to show up in our oldest's comics with increasing regularity. I like the detail of him holding the book open with one finger.

She Chases Me

Yeah, this is the one who's going to want to date when he's fourteen. Heaven help us now.

More mayhem from Scooter, this time visiting Yellowstone National Park.

Pocket Clock

Someone put an alarm clock in this poor man's back pocket. He doesn't look too happy. Can't say that I blame him.

Happy Crowd

How could you not be happy if you looked out your window and saw this happy group staring back at you. Okay, so maybe if they were all staring at you including back row, second from right, with the flip-do -- that might be a little disconcerting. But you'd survive. Though I can't tell if the kid in the orange shirt is really a kid or some kind of effigy of a kid that the two in front are holding up, along with their unique "Kids" sign. Okay, this is starting to get a little scary.

An unusual medium for our kids -- markers. Not that they don't like markers. They just don't like putting lids back on the markers, so they're always all dried out at our house.

200 Posts!

As we celebrate the 200th posting at My Kids Refrigerator, I ponder what to post today. I could post a photo of our (nearly) drawing-free refrigerator, or the secret stash of drawings our oldest has in his bedrooms (which is likely to be declared a fire hazard any day now).

Then I realized the best way to celebrate would be just to keep on posting. Things like this:

Bonus points to anyone who can identify the scrap paper this one is drawn on.

I Wanna Be A Cowboy

Another A+ for a drawing from our youngest. This is kind of a different cowboy. I'm not sure many of them walk around with whips, so part of me wonders if this didn't start out as another Indiana Jones drawing.

Harry Potter

Not quite sure what all the black lines are in this one, but it kinda adds to the overall spooky ambience.

What's With All the Dad Drawings?

I know, I know. This is supposed to be a kids' art blog. So why all the Dad art?

Well, the art is done in context of entertaining the children, of course. Sometimes I have to give them ideas so they can draw up their own stuff. And you know what? I like to draw too.

Even More Zombies

Yeah. More zombies.

Zombie Time

First, you need to know that the zombies we draw are not the killing, brains-eating freaks you see in all those movies (and yes, you see them; I certainly don't). Basically, our zombies (relax, they don't sparkle) just have spinning eyes, Gary Larson-esque protruding lips and an affection for whatever activity or item on which they might be fixating at the moment. So here are a few zombies I drew a few weeks ago to entertain the kids at church.

Yes, I do entertain the kids a lot at church with drawings. It's a quiet activity, except for the giggling.

I Like to Sleep

I think our youngest's caption for this one says it all. I'm just glad he didnt' draw himself sleeping in a drawer, because that's where he really sleeps. Well, we call it a drawer, but it's a trundle bed.
